We just received our new tee shirts today, with the Pickled Puss, green on black.  These were ordered through VistaPrint online.  The shirts arrived a day early, which I'm happy with, and in good condition.  I ordered two medium shirts, one for myself and one for my wife.

I wanted to see the quality that would be available from an online, print-on-demand, commercial printer.  I pretty much received what I paid for.

Since I ordered the design on a black shirt, there had to be a white background printed where the design was going, so that it would show up.

I'm not sure what printer/process VistaPrint uses, but the design has a plasticey/rubbery feel, much like an iron-on.  The colors are a bit muted compared to the original design, and my high hopes.  The colors may be brighter on a light colored shirt, or I may need to specify cmyk/spot colors next time.

We'll be ordering the same/similar design from redbubble.com next.  Though the company is based in Austraila, the printing is done in either the US or Germany.

Once we decide on a DTG (direct to garment) printer, we'll start offering our designs for sale through our online store.  We'll also be doing a review of the different companies, their service, and quality of product.  Be sure to come back often to see what's new.

P.S. Here's a quick shot of the new shirts, with the color and size matched a close to possible to the actual product.  Will try to get some better pics soon.  But as you can see if you compare it to the pics in the previous post, the green is no where as vibrant as the original mock-up. Got to work on that, as the almost fluorescent green makes a much stronger impact, visually.

New Tee's Printed By VistaPrint

We've got a new tee design available in our store!  The design is the first in a series with our new globe trotting party animal, the "Pickled Puss".  As you can see from the photo, he partied a little too hard at Mardi Gras this year.  You'd think he'd learn his lesson, waking up in unfamiliar places, surrounded by strangers.  Such is the life...
