Blue Heron ACEO – Donald Hawkaye Hill

Sunday, October 5th, 2003

Ok, so here's my second sketch-a-day work. Even though it was created on Sat., I was too tired to get it posted, so posting today and will post Sunday's sketch before midnight tonight. This ACEO is 2.5" X 3.5" on cold pressed, acid free Canson watercolor paper. This work was created using black & white charcoal pencils as well as various graphite pencils, from a 6B to a 4H.

The work has my chop as well as being dated and signed on the back. The chop and copyright on the front of the image does not appear on the actual item.

Two Roses – ACEO by Donald Hawkaye Hill

Sunday, September 7th, 2003

Ok, I may be pushing myself, especially during the week while school is in session, but I'm going to try to do a sketch a day, usually small scale, but anything goes. We'll see how long I can keep this up. Each piece will be for auction on eBay after I complete it to my satisfaction.

My first piece is "Two Roses" and is an ACEO (Artist card editions & originals) mearsuring the standard 2.5" by 3.5 inches. The piece is executed in graphite, and coated with a matte UV protective coating. The card is signed and dated on the back, as well has having my chop. The actual card looks better than the scan, but I'm working with what I have. Thanks for looking and I always welcome feedback.

Here's the first work of art in an ongoing series:
